Summer Festival 2016 – Cosmetics and Steed of the Summer Sea

This year, we have two new cosmetics, which can be bartered for [15 Summer Festival Tokens] each, as well as a steed, which can be bartered for  [40 Summer Festival Tokens] from the Bree, Shire, and Duillond NPCs. LOTRO has also released two very exciting kite cosmetics!

My favorite additions to the rewards this year are definitely the kites! There’s a great sense of movement in the way that the kites are held up and how they follow you in different directions. Click to zoom in on the pictures!

The Sunny Summer Kite can be bartered for [75 Summer Festival Tokens], but the Soaring Bird Kite is only available for barter with 30 Mithril Coins. You can purchase these in the LOTRO Store. If you like being thrifty with your real money, you can usually stockpile some Mithril Coins by keeping an eye on free samples of the week at the LOTRO Weekly Store Sale. From time to time, they have a coupon that allows you to get 5 Mithril Coins for free.
